In this study, it was opted to analyzing the effect of the announcements of household-electric, propagated in the Revista do Globo, in the decade of 30, in Rio Grande do Sul, directed to the woman worried about the domestic tasks, while the advertising announced new times. The relation that if establish between the consumer and the new technologies appearing in the market, do not have to consist in isolated fact, but in a game of social and cultural influences, that have as resulted the collective one. Taking as starting point the Jauss ideas, that defends the sociability of a workmanship through the judgment of the receiver, the work intends to disclose if these technological changes of modernity had stimulated the woman to assume a new paper in the construction of history, outside the domestic environment.
