This article discusses and analyses the use of character, a literary resource, in economical journalism in newspaper. The character in journalism is the anonymous person who turns into an example of a situation also experienced by many others. It aims to bring the reader closer to the text and even to the newspaper, creates identification and makes reading easier. Each newspaper will use the resource or not depending on the readers they aim. When the character’s problem appears on the newspaper, this can help solving the problem, but the main target of the usage of this resource is, in fact, to help selling the newspaper. Key-words
