A presença do documental: subjetividades possíveis e memória do mundo

This paper stresses the documental presence in contemporary film production, and is seen as a “noble support of fiction” while its fundamental autobiographic nature is disclosed. An immediate consequence lead to an ethic of the restoration of the community, emerging from different approaches in film making which promote interactions between the director, the social actors and the audience. Some key films are reviewed in order to rethink cinema as a place where subjectivity and world’s memory converge to reinitiate a new dialogue. Key-words
