O corpo do pensamento: formas do realismo grotesco em Gaviões e passarinhos de Pier Paolo Pasolini
Palavras-chave
In the film The Hawks and the Sparrows, Pier Paolo Pasolini approaches the problem of the ideological crisis in a period that Italy, grieved by Palmiro Togliatti’s death and celebrating the funeral of Communist dogma, prepares to join the modernity brought to light by the “economic miracle”. In its burlesque configuration, appears an aesthetic signed by the heritage of a tradition of comic popular forms, nominated by Mikhail Bakhtin as “grotesque” or “corporal realism”. Using that forms, Pasolini creates images and situations of strong symbolic ambivalence, able to materialize the idea of the need for a profound renovation in the Marxist thought. The communion between the intellectual and the people is seen then as a possibility to overcome the impasse experienced by the leftist thinker, called to act historically by “going down” to the grassroots and preparing to be devoured by them.
