Epistemologia da pesquisa em comunicação e consumo: algumas conjecturas teóricas e prospecções empíricas

This article aims to discuss some epistemological perspectives of communication and consumption research. For that, firstly, it is carried out a review of how consumption has been framed in some paradigms of communication theory. After that, secondly, it is shown a bibliometric study done using CAPES’s database to figure out how masters’ and PhDs thesis have had operated it. As a main conclusion, it is shown that the epistemological multiplicity is far away to be a weakness in the sense that it offers empirical and theoretical lashing that provides a flourishing field for the growth of critical perspectives.
