O romance O vice-rei de Uidá, de Bruce Chatwin, e o filme Cobra verde, de Werner Herzog: um estudo da transposição midiática

Resumo
Este artigo tem como proposta compreender a relação entre as obras O Vice-Rei de Uidá (1980), romance do autor inglês Bruce Chatwin, e sua respectiva adaptação cinematográfica, Cobra Verde (1987), do cineasta alemão Werner Herzog, produtos artísticos potentes, resultantes do processo artístico de sujeitos transgressores em suas vidas e em seus modos de operar. E ao observar as escolhas feitas por Herzog no processo de transposição midiática do livro para o filme, analisar as estratégias de ressignificação do texto fonte e também os novos sentidos e ganhos mútuos advindos da relação entre literatura e cinema.

Abstract
This article aims to understand the relationship between the works O Vice-Rei de Uidá (1980), novel written by the English author Bruce Chatwin, and it’s respective film adaptation, Cobra Verde (1987), by the German filmmaker Werner Herzog, powerful artistic products, resulting from the artistic process of men that transgress in their lives and in their ways of operating. Observing the choices made by Herzog in the process of media transposition of the book into the film, to analyze the strategies of resignification of the source text and also the new senses and mutual gains arising from the relation between literature and cinema.
