Espetacularização midiática da crueldade e a ordem da representação: o filme Contra todos

Resumo
Toma-se como ponto de partida a naturalização da violência identificada à crueldade e alentada por sua desmesura nas mídias, afetando a ordem da representação, para indagar-se se não se está condenado a reciclar a violência quando não se logra sair dela. Busca-se apreender relações entre crueldade-violência e cultura midiática, sobretudo em produtos que dramatizam a espessura do espaço urbano, por sua vez afetado pelas redes comunicacionais e fluxos informacionais, como estuda Martín-Barbero. Considerando os sentidos de crueldade, do senso comum fixado pelas mídias, ao formulado por Clément Rosset, privilegia-se o filme Contra todos, de Roberto Moreira, e sua recepção mediada pela impressa escrita e pela internet. No limite, estão em pauta as relações entre mídia, crueldade-violência, cidade contemporânea e suas representações.

Abstract
Media hype and the order of representation: the film Contra todos
Taking as a starting point the banalization of violence vis-à-vis cruelty, fuelled by excessive media hype - which consequently affects the order of representation, this paper ask if we are not in danger of recycling violence, when we should be moving away from it altogether. It is worth capturing the relationship between cruelty-violence and mass media, particularly in products that aim to dramatize the urban space, which in turn is affected by communications networks and the flow of information, as studied by Martín-Barbero. Considering the meanings of cruelty, from those commonly understood and established by the media, against those defined by Clément Rosset, one should highlight the film “Contra Todos” directed by Roberto Moreira, and its reception by the written press and the Internet. Thus the main approach is focused on the relationship between cruelty-violence, contemporary city and its representations.
